Kickoff Day Party!!
Helloooooo WSL!!!
Our WSL Secretary, Rebecca, reached out to the NYC Parks Department and was able to speak to our main contact there.
He has informed us, as of right this minute, that yes, the season is on and the fields will be OPEN!
The construction crew will be moving the fences off the field by next weekend. The other fences around the park will remain up, but it is understood that the WSL is allowed to play on the fields and we are good to go!! This is a huge relief. Of course…anything can change between now and Opening Day, but at least we’re getting close.
Which leads me to the WSL Kickoff Party. We’ll be having it on April 6th, Saturday night before Opening Day, and it is being hosted by the Rbar!!
