Welcome back boys & girls! The lazy days of summer are finally here and we”re back in the envy of all our co-workers with our deep McCarren park tans and sportin” our sweet softball physiques. Well, unless you”ve paid a few too many visits to the Gibson burger grill, or been chompin” at Mables rib & pulled pork joint, or been hittin” that late night chicken bacon ranch slice at Vinnies or damn, can we get a salad shop on the block or something?! The Brooklyn Whiskey actually has an appetizer that is a plate of bacon with a mayo dipper. Whatta they think, we’re animals with no self control?! Ahhh whatever, see you at The Nest this weekend…have my birthday shots lined-up early and I like Chocolate Pecan pie ; )
11am
Over on field one it”s right back to Bizness with 2nd Chance taking on The Turkey”s Nest! I”m predicting this game to be straight-up Bananas!
AT came out of their slump two weeks ago and are heading into The Blackness this Sunday. The All Stars topped Betty by one when they last met and need to make a play-off run for a tough South division spot. Sweeping The Dynasty in the 2011 season would definitely make a statement.
1pm
Three Kings have been makin” a little run of their own while Good Co has been slumping, so this is a huge match-up for these two clubs. Good Co stole the last one by 8 clean runs and though they haven”t won since week 9, 3 of those 4 games were one run online casino losses. I”d cut BP short if I was umping this one. It”s going to be a lonnng day.
“Doza is pissed and Clem”s is playing tough infield D! If you”re rolling in during this contest keep your heads-up and out of your cold-brewed ice coffees. I”m predicting a 80% chance of a hail storm of home run attempts.
3pm
Jokes aside, even Bobby Knapp knows this is the Game of the Week! The RBar Bums are on a 5 game streak and they love to face the Soft Spot Yeti”s! Despite their mid season seating this is always a good match up! To start off the shit talkin”, I think an Anthony-ism is in order here. “It ain”t over until…Pizza wins. WHAAAAAAAAA!!”
Finishing out the 3PM games, Spike Hill is taking on O”Malley”s favorite team “The Gibbys” in a Birthday Battle. The Boys of the Hill will really be shooting themselves in the knee…I mean foot, if they blow this one! Don”t worry, you”re all invited to come back and hangout at our cooler bar in the event that you are victorious, but no buy backs…well, maybe a senior citizen discount.
5pm
This brings us to the 5PM slots where The 4th Down Loggers really have their work cut out for them against a solid Reel 2 Reel who just split games stealing a win from the Almighty Spike Hill. Cesar better rack up on the homers this week if he wants to stay in the running for the leader board.
Pete”s is reeling from a tough loss against the All Stars while TNT were snubbed-out by RBar in Week #15. Pete”s has an opportunity, with a W, this Sunday to move ahead of the 6-5 pack in the South. The Teachers need to start racking up some wins here if they want a spot in the playoffs.
Hope your July 4th weekends were a Blast and I”ll see ya all this Sunday, word.
-Carly
