Yes, we even have rules for the website.

1. This league was, is, and forever will be, at its heart, laid-back and fun. Therefor, the website will follow the same creed. It’s about fun, hanging out, softball, networking, having a good time, competition, but at the end of the day, this is beer league softball. Let’s remember not to take things too seriously.

2. THINK FIRST. Then post. We all know after a game we can get pretty heated up. Before you run home and post a response saying you want to kill another player, or an entire team, take a breather, relax, then post.

3. Once the games are over, you can email the score to admin@williamsburgsoftball.com and we will put them up ASAP, meaning by Monday evening at the latest. We plan on keeping the site as up-to-date and as accurate as possible in regards to scores, standings, etc…

4. If you and your opponent had an exciting game and want it posted. Simply write an article, get it over to us and we’ll post it in the news. Please note, you are responsible for spelling, grammar, etc… The more interaction we have within the site, the better. Each week we can update the site with news of the previous Sunday’s games.

5. There is now an Events page and section. If you have an Event you want everyone to know about, again, email it over and we’ll get it up as soon as possible.

6. Each team has their own profile page. It will need an image that will be your logo. You can email me any .jpeg or .bmp file. Each team’s manager and co-manager’s email address needs to be up there so other managers can just go to the site if they need to get hold of the other team. If you want any additional pictures to put up, send them our way. If you have a motto, team saying, slogan, etc… send them to me and I’ll get them up.

7. Fake ID’s in the forum are being eliminated. We feel they have led to a culture that makes it not very fun to post something because someone might reply with an inappropriate comment that is pretty uncool and of course no one knows who is saying it. If anyone wants to make a comment, or bad mouth a player or a team, etc… by all means, feel free to do so, however, your ID will need to include your name and the team you play for. Feel free to talk as much smack as you like, but be sure to show your face when you do so. But before you post, please refer back to Rule #2.

8. The website is about interacting and sharing and having a hub where everyone can go to. Let’s make it fun!
