Helloooo Players and Fans of the WSL!!

Wanted to give you all a heads up as to where we are with the WSFL (Williamsburg Softball Fall League). So far we have over 75 players signed up in less than a week. This is awesome!!

There will be 15 players to a team, this means we have confirmed 4 teams. The 4 current managers are: Matt Silverman, Cesar Fisher, Jake Levine and Daniel Shafer…so I’d start getting in good with them now if I were you.

I’d love to get to 90 players so we can have 6 teams. This means we still need 15 more players to sign up. Ideally, it would be amazing to have 8 teams, but that’ll require 120 players, so it’s a bit of a long shot, but might as well go for it!

The FINAL day for sign-ups is October 1st. Draft Date will be October 3rd, Friday night, at 6pm at Kilo Bravo. Only the managers will be required to attend, but it’s open for any and all players to come down and hang out and watch the draft. Kate Buenaflor (Miss K.B. Herself!) is happy to host and it’s probably going to be pretty damn fun.

Opening Day is that Sunday, October 5th, at 11am. So please be prepared to play that day. You’ll be finding out what team you are playing for either on the 3rd or the 4th, but either way, you’ll be playing for someone on the 5th, so be ready!!

All games for the season will be at 11am and 1pm. This will allow everyone to get out in time to watch football and have a good Sunday.

Right now, I’m looking to have the league END on Sunday, Dec 7th. It’s going to be cold and chilly, but hell, we’re playing ball and I’d rather be doing that than sitting at home bored out of my mind.

I hope this answers all of your questions. Please reach out to me if you have any more.

Thanks!
