We only have two games and a butt load of scrimmages this Sunday. Now before you declare make-up week (not make-out week, Stryker) a snooze, it actually determines who many of you play next week. So listen to the math my cohorts are throwing at your face, and for those not scrimmaging this weekend, here’s a video tutorial of how to hit dingers (that I wish I’d filmed).
1pm
Field #1: Pete’s @ Soft Spot (Stryker)
Ahhhhhh make-out week. I couldn’t imagine two better teams to be matched up on make-out week. These teams have equal records and equal amounts of frustration (sexual and otherwise). Soft Spot has a slight edge after beating Pete’s 13-6 in week 1 and is straddling them in the league standings. But perhaps Sam and his candy crew can pull off being the power bottom and generate the force necessary to climax over the Yetis. We’ll see if these Snowmen can ram their bow into Pete’s stern without shattering his hull, or if Pete’s stern will be too tight and hard to penetrate, making the Yetis mainsail go limp. Now I could be mistaken (and most likely I am because I’m not good at this math stuff), but I believe this game has huge playoff implications. If Soft Spot prevails, they’ll face off against a questionable 4 seed in the form ATU, and Pete’s will play tummy sticks the always dangerous Black Beauties. Now if Pete’s beats Soft Spot by enough runs this matchup should switch. If Pete’s beats them by the same amount of runs that Soft Spot beat them earlier in the season (7) then they tie. I imagine since it’s make-out week they’d have to go into either a Spin the Bottle or Seven Minutes in Heaven tie breaker. Either way I’m super aroused by this game and can’t wait to see who finishes first. It’d be awesome if they finished together but I’m sure both teams will just be concerned about getting it over with as quickly as possible.
Also big shout out to the Boys of Summer! Haven’t seen you guys in what seems like forever, maybe we can meet up and chub out over this game.
5pm
Field #1: Spike Hill @ Crown Vic 86ers (Stache)
Scenario Sunday!!!! Try to follow along at home.
Nice to know they’re both playing for something other than an 18 game obligation, right? Even the 86ers can move up a spot in the seeding with a win! Hell, seeds 2 through 7 in the Godsy division are all hinging on this outcome. WSL high drama at it’s finest!
