WSL Grounds Crew Needed!!

Fri, Apr 5, 2013

We already got a firefighter, now we need a cowboy, an indian, a soldier, a cop and a rough rider in leather chaps!

Have you ever seen the lines at the field of the WSL and thought “man, I could make those straighter!”

Have you ever had a hankering to wake up early on a Sunday, run over to the fields and sweep out all the nasty and infested water that collects behind 2nd base after it rains??

Have you ever been to a Yankees Game and wished you could be a part of the Grounds Crew and partake in doing the YMCA?

Well, now is your chance!

Every Sunday we’ll need 2 people to come down and help set up the fields for the day.

Each person will be paid $30 in cold hard cash to wake up early on a Sunday, arrive by 10am, and get the fields ready for the 11am games. And that’s like 98 Big Buds at the Nest (lie)!

Duties will include:
Bringing the equipment over from the Turkey’s Nest Shed.
Lining the bases lines with chalk.
Painting the outfield lines.
Filling in any big holes (joke here).
Putting out the bases.
Bringing all the stuff back to the shed.
Trying not to lose or break any of the equipment.

Mike V (he’s the firefighter) and I will be managing the Grounds Crew Team. Each week we’ll send out an email to the Ground Crew Team to see who wants to do the work.

If you are interested and want to sign up. Please email me here!

This Sunday (April 7th), Mike and I will be at the fields at 10am to get them ready for Opening Day. If you’re around and interested and want to see how we do it, come on down and we’ll show you the ropes. Obviously, you can join at any time of the year, so feel free to ask us!

Thanks, y’all!

– H
