Group Photo from the Best Birthday Party... EVER!

I think that a lot of our boys are going to bring their A-game this week, all riding high after a sensational pick-up game at Cyclone Field in Coney Island this past Tuesday under the lights!! Shafer’s little lady Vanessa wins the MVGF award this season, hands down, for the best Bday present a Turkey has ever received!

This coming weekend is supposed to be as beautiful as the last, but there is a big storm heading in from the North division these next two Sundays with the top 4 facing off in both weekends. Will Spike Hill be able to stay afloat?

But let’s start in the South. Soft Spot is rolling up in the 11AM slot and looks like they’re back on track after a mid-season drought. The Yeti’s won their last two and are facing a depleted Candystore. Pete’s is hoping to end their little slump here with a huge opportunity to steal the third seat in the division! In the North, It’s the Battle for 2nd to Last Place! (The Gibson likes to have battles…deal with it.) In a game that has no effect on the rest of the league whatsoever, Geoff’s 4th Down Loggers & The Gibby will be taking this as seriously as the championship!! Or wait, should we just play wiffle ball instead, so no one gets hurt? Vote Now!! (Godsy, just click A and move right along.)

The Results:

In the 1PM South Match-up AT is heading to Clemerica, desperate for a W to move above .500. The Clems fell in both of their last match-ups by a single run and don’t have anything to lose here. Is that good or bad? We will soon see! AT won by a whopping 22 runs when these two teams last met. Heading North, it’s the 86ers vs 3K (currently being sued by the Jeter franchise), 2nd Chance hasn’t beat anyone else in the league except The 3 Kings and The Gibson. If they can pull it off again they’ll knock the Kings under .500 and give them a huge scare in the play-off run.

Reel 2 Reel is hosting Good Co on Field 2 @ 3. The last time these clubs met Reel 2 Reel only stole it by one. The Pink have allowed 19 more runs this season than R2R, but they are batting in close to the same number of runs. Good Co. is 3 games behind first so if they can steal a win here that would really help build momentum for their face-off with Spike Hill next week. They have an opportunity to really shake things up! But Reel 2 Reel hasn’t lost a game by more than one run since the season opener. Good Luck to them both…we’ll all be watching! The Teachers are playing Black Betty at the same time on Field one. Both teams have gotten hot as of recent, so this will be anyone’s game!

This brings us to the 5PM slots with Mendoza taking on RBar. If the Bums can stop them in their fancy hats they can tie ‘Doza, who has the 2nd most runs allowed in the South, and possibly knock them out of 2nd place. Hey RBar, no crazy Atlantic city trips that end at the start of this one, okay? In The Game of the Week, The Nest gets another shot at The Hill and a chance to steal first place!! Forget the camera, I’m bringing my flip cam for this one! Fear the Beard (and jorts)!!

Whatever happened to those jello shot chics?
