Week 1 – Recap

Fri, Apr 1, 2011

Despite the frigid temps the 2011 Season Opener went off without a hitch with everyone getting their scheduled games in.
Spike Hill came out strong trouncing their bitter rivals R2R to start it off. Across the way RBar lost their opener to Turkey’s Teachers who are starting out this season strong.
Next up, if you didn’t hear, Baby-boy hit for the cycle leading the Soft Spot Yeti’s (formerly Union Pool) over the Battleship Clem’s, to their first victory.
Turkey’s Nest shot down The Phantom in a battle of the North Division Rivals.
In the 2:30 slot, AT showed up with a brand new squad wielding brand new confidence but fell to the sweetness of Pete’s Candy Store.
2nd Chance squeaked out a victory against The Gibson.
Big props to the late-day ballers with the toughest slot of the day!
3 Kings shocked the Loggers, debuting an almost entirely new squad and winning a close one.
Finally, in the game of the week featuring JB$ freezing in his skimpy silk shorts, ‘Doza smolder Black Betty’s dreams for a perfect season by pulling out a 1-run victory over the defending champs.
Great job, everyone! See you on Sunday!
– Carly
